AUTHOR/ARTIST BIO
Marcie grew up in Ohio and Indiana and loved exploring the fields, creeks and barns of her rural childhood. A love of nature and exploration stayed with her as an adult.
Her mother, Carole Lantz, is a fabulous artist and Marcie was encouraged to make many creative messes with whatever was on hand as a young
child. This love of nature, art and creativity has endured throughout her life.
She loves working in acrylics, watercolor, clay, metal and whatever else comes along.
In 2016, she wrote a little poem and drew some simple sketches to create a small booklet to give out at the baby shower in celebration of her first grandchild.
Fast forward eight long years, and it has finally become a full-fledged book. Not only was a granddaughter born then, but also a love of children’s books, storytelling and illustration.
She now lives in Florida with her AMAZING husband, Scott, and their bulldog, Macaroni.
A House for Madi Mouse is the first in a series of stories and books that have been patiently waiting to be brought to life.
